The Cambridge Blue Cheese

The exciting challenge to make a cheese for Cambridge began over 3 years ago and the result has been eagerly anticipated. With Cambridge being renowned throughout the world as a mark of quality we wanted to develop a product that lived up to the name and was “worth waiting for”.

The Cambridge Blue Cheese is hand-made by a family of cheese-makers in Garstang, Lancashire and they have a tradition of producing award winning cheeses of exceptional quality for over 50 years. Their extensive knowledge and expertise has helped provide Cambridge with a blue cheese made exactly to the specifications, consistency and quality that we have striven for. 

The Cambridge Blue Cheese is made from Cow’s milk and is matured over time here at The Cambridge Food Company.
 
As the cheese matures it acquires a beautiful blue vein, becoming soft and creamy and developing a familiar greyish-blue rind. This cheese really comes into it's own at around 6-9 weeks old although it can be enjoyed throughout its development for up to 3 months.

This distinctive blue cheese is very palatable, mellow, creamy and incredibly moreish.
