Organic Food
We are doing everything we can to make a positive impact on our environment. As a business we take our responsibilities very seriously and continue to actively support suppliers whose ethos and value systems are driven by issues that will protect our planet and the quality of food on our plates.
Organic food has grown in popularity in recent years as consumers have become more aware of how and where there products come from. The use of genetics, growth hormones, antibiotics, pesticides and fertilisers during the farming and rearing of produce has continued to come under close scrutiny. Our expertise in our field allows us to source wholesome foods that have been responsibly and carefully produced. We will not compromise on quality to cut costs and corners and will continue to offer our customers the ability to add organic foods as an alternative choice to more conventional products.
Slow Food
We acknowledge the place that convenience and fast food has in a world moving at a relentless pace. However we also encourage and support food that in its very essence provides a complete opposite to its speedy alternative.
We believe and actively source produce that have retained the integrity of its provenance, tradition and heritage. Food that is healthy, ethically farmed, respects the welfare of animals the environment and is ultimately great to taste
At GetFood we believe in offering its customers freedom of choice and we will continue to encourage local and national businesses who believe strongly in providing produce of a high quality.
Allergens
We are aware that food allergens or food intolerances affect many people. Some can have a mild effect while others unfortunately can be severe or in extreme circumstances fatal.
We feel that as your supplier it is extremely important that we know the composition of food products and any potentially harmful ingredients if the risk of accidental contamination and consumption is to be avoided.
It is equally important to ensure products are correctly labelled and any potential allergenic ingredients identified.
We currently supply a range of over 1500 products, the majority of which are proprietary brands from well known companies and many from specialist companies who have been fully vetted to ensure they match our product quality standards.
Wherever our products are sourced we require full ingredients specifications and details of any processes where allergen cross contamination could have occurred giving you the confidence you require to concentrate on your business.
