Fairtrade

We have seen a significant rise in sales and interest in Fair-trade products in recent years.
Using only top quality, premium ingredients sourced from farmers who will be guaranteed a fairer deal and a brighter future via the fair-trade foundation these products have become a popular choice for many of our customers. For those who require assurance that their buying decision will affect more than the bottom lines and profitability of food producers and retailers’ Fair-trade approved products have brought a new level of responsibility and integrity to our business.
Since its launch as a label in 1988, recent research has shown that the Fair-trade brand is recognised by over 70% of the UK population. Global sales have increased by 47% to 1.6 Billion (493 Million in the UK) and Fair-trade is no longer a lifestyle commitment made by a few, it has become a business model with supporters in some of the most important companies in the UK.
Our continued commitment to support this important brand is important to us, and we are pleased to continue to work with many of our suppliers to further develop a portfolio of products that encourage and embody the very core ethical values that the Fair-trade organisation continues to build.
